How to Overcome Procrastination and Stop Struggling

Do you want to overcome procrastination and stop struggling to achieve your goals? The first step to achieving this is to understand how procrastination comes to be a part of your life.

You might not be aware that procrastination is generated and kept in place by unconscious negative thoughts and feelings that take control over you and your life.

So, what are some of those negative thoughts and feelings that make it so hard to overcome procrastination?

  • The fear of failure – i.e. being cautious to even try in case you can’t do it.
  • The belief that you don’t have what it takes to succeed.
  • The belief that life will become boring once you accomplish all of your goals.
  • The fear of success and the responsibility that it would mean for you.
  • The belief that you are lazy
  • The belief that it will take a lot of hard work to get what you want.
  • Feelings of inadequacy and the need to be perfect.
  • The fear of making a mistake, and commonly
  • The fear of humiliation if someone else finds out what you are trying to accomplish.

There is also the need to avoid showing up someone else, with your success and likewise, the fear of someone else’s envy of your success.

Chances are that you can relate to one or more of these thoughts. Well, you’re about to learn how you remove them from your life. 

Overcome Procrastination by Removing Negativity From Your Life

So where does this negativity come from and how can one get rid of it? Well you were conditioned to believe and/or feel the above through early life experiences that are now stored within you as a series of negative memories you call your “life history”.

That life history video playing on repeat, behaves much like a series of limiting and constraining hypnotic suggestions that block your ability to move effortlessly through life.

Another way of looking at it is that this negativity creates an enormous amount of ‘inertia’ i.e. what you experience as the immobile state that goes with procrastination. 

That inertia requires you to expend extra life energy just to get from point A to B. That is like carrying around two 10lb weights – one tied to each foot – every day. In that state, who wouldn’t feel drained by the idea of doing even the simplest movement?

It pays therefore to find a way to unshackle your self and the only way to do that is to permanently release those underlying thoughts, feelings and the negative memories that generate them. To do this, you must permanently delete them.
