The drive that propelled me to this was my desire to master my own confidence issues, and to learn how to gain confidence in my own life.
What I learnt was that self esteem is not generated by knowledge or techniques. Even if you attain a small level of success with some technique or trick, your inner critic will beat you back down to a level of low self-esteem that you started with.
Self Esteem is the way one sees themselves. It is shaped by external programming – by the way we were treated or not treated – and in turn, creates the negative self-perceptions we learnt to be true about ourselves.
In order to change negative self-perceptions that cause us to feel low self-esteem, we need to remove the limiting labels that are causing it.
Once you stop your negative inner critic from limiting your life, your level of self-esteem increases. In turn, confidence is then generated by the new self-perception.
The result? You can effortlessly make better choices to improve the opportunities available to you, and attain your desires.
Your Inner Critic Makes You Believe It’s Normal to Not Feel Good About Yourself
Do you experience feelings of not being good enough, and you want to feel better about yourself and more confident?
Ask yourself now – do you feel that it’s normal to actually have the belief of not being good enough inside you, creating self-doubt?
Do you feel like it’s normal that you have to be and do things in order to feel good about yourself? Do you find yourself overcompensating for yourself and others to feel better?
Many people don’t understand where such feelings about themselves come from, and so they continue to harbour and allow these feelings to run their lives.
Most people also believe that these emotions and not feeling good is ‘normal’. If this is you, and up until now you felt that you were doomed to have your inner critic run your life, you are in for a surprise.
The thing is, these feelings originate from a collection of experiences that anchor in your mind and body and generate the subsequent feelings that accompany them.
What would be possible for you if these feelings were no longer running your life?
Firstly, you would begin to feel at peace with who you are. Put simply, you would no longer have to do anything other than be who you are; to feel and experience feelings of high self-worth and esteem and meet your goals.
This would be a natural feeling that you experience permanently.that confident people naturally have. I know this as i have too been on both sides of the fence .
But how can this be possible, and how you can you experience this for yourself?
You Don’t Need to Listen to Your Inner Critic
Clients often say to me “but these beliefs help me to be more and do more”. This is a lie, which has been conditioned into their subconscious.
If you are tired and frustrated with having to work hard to feel these natural feelings of confidence within yourself and you believe that this is normal, then try the below exercise.
The sensation of feeling great about yourself is actually a part of who you are and more than this – it is your natural birth right.
With the belief I don’t feel good enough, living inside of you, simply ask yourself this question:
How do I feel with this thing living inside of me? Take a moment and notice if you feel energised or like your energy just dropped.
Which one of the two happened?
You felt motivated, inspired and hopeful, or you felt unmotivated, deficient and like something is wrong with you?
If that belief created the second experience for you, continue reading.
If you recognise that the belief ‘I don’t feel good enough’ makes you feel bad about yourself; say the following to yourself now.
- I don’t like feeling like I am not good enough.
- I want to feel whole, complete, adequate and sufficient without having to work at it.
- I want to become aware of the underlying factors that have programmed me to believe that I am not good enough and I would like to feel inspired to want to release these from my life once and for all.
Now, take a moment, go inside your body and focus on your heart region. Notice what you are beginning to feel there.
You may become aware of some of the following feelings starting to emerge: lightness, warmth, joy, contentment, hope, peace, calmness, inner strength, a sense of confidence, a feeling of wholeness, completeness, and a feeling that you are a normal and alive human being.
What this exercise has done has allowed you to help your Life Force Energy to re-enter your body. Your Life Force Energy is either inside your body or outside of it. If you feel like your enthusiasm and feelings of energy just rose, it is a sign that the Life Force Energy is coming back into your body.
Discover Your Authentic, Confident Self and Banish the Inner Critic
Feelings of confidence and high self-worth are a part of who you really are; your authentic self. Life Force Energy will however be forced out of your body based on a collection of negative past experiences in your life. This leads to the lack of enthusiasm, sadness, hopelessness, lack of motivation and energy that you experience.
The above exercise has begun to help your Life Force Energy re-enter and re-integrate itself with your mind and body and has started to build your self confidence. It is that integration that makes you natural, alive and human.
Your Life Force Energy was depleted from your mind and body by the negative memories of your life stored in your unconscious (also known as your physical body and unconscious mind).
This “stuff” you have termed your life history has essentially been “kicking you out” of your body, leaving you with a feeling of emptiness, incompleteness, inadequacy and so on.
As long as it remains there you will always feel this and will always have a need to compensate for it in some way. In other words you’ll find yourself doing a lot of work to satisfy your inner critic!
That work leads to even more of your Life Force Energy being expended from your mind and body. That depletion of Life Force Energy is what is ultimately responsible for the “not good enough feeling”. That’s all it is.
It is now possible to begin to erase that life history easily, permanently and powerfully by employing a new process.
